Looking for tips regarding sweat

Hi all,
Just a quick question. Been struggling with sweat running into my eyes this last week. My cycle helmet has a sponge insert that soaks up some sweat from my forehead and I never ride without eye protection, which makes it difficult to wipe sweat away whilst riding. Would like to know what approach you all take to reduce the effects as bombing down a hill at 30+ MPH with one eye open is a bit disconcerting.
Kind rgds,
Carl

Roll like "The Professor"
failing that, something like a thin bandana can help - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Skull-Cap-hat-Bike-motorcycle-Cycle-Helmet-Bandana-Pirate-head-scarf-Beanie-New-/140956130423?pt=UK_Hats&var=&hash=item20d1a3dc77
(they can also help avoid hit and miss suntanned head for the "follically challenged" )0 -
This is what I wear, in white. It has a terrycloth band to absorb, and on the really hot days rinsing it in cool water mid-ride is heaven.

Cheers guys. Was think that a sweat band or beany might be the answer, but was hoping that there may have been some other way. Like the idea of wetting the beany to keep your head cool though.0

I wear a hat under my helmet. I know it seems Fredly, but as a commuter and randonneur the positives outweigh the negatives.
I'm too cheap to buy a cycling specific hat and instead look for hats with a short bill and no button in the top center. I've found two so far and both were about $10 a piece.
Keeps my head warm in the winter, the sun out of my eyes, wasps out of my helmet, rain out of my eyes, sweat out of my eyes, and I think keeps me cool as the sweat soaks the hat and then evaporates through the helmet. I need to find a picture for you.0 -
While I've never used one of these (so I can't offer any input as to how well they work) this product may offer an alternative to the sweatband or cap solutions already offered.

Another vote for the cycling cap under the helmet from me.
Also has the advantage of keeping the sun out of your eyes too.0 -

I use one of these, originally intended to keep my ears warm during winter...
