Reverse buttwink?

I've noticed that when I go up to a new weight on squats, my back arches further at the bottom, rather than rounding into buttwink. Is this a problem? It tends to settle the second workout I do the new weight, so I wonder if it's just my core catching up with the new load?

it does sound like a core strength issue - try not to let it happen, get your spine nice and stable before you go down.

Thanks. It's as I get to just above parallel, so definitely time to add in some assistance exercises here.

Were you able to complete all reps and sets?

I don't think I got completely parallel in the first workout but should tomorrow.
