Anyone else doing the Walk For Lupus in your city? I signed up our team The Butterfly Bunch (We're like The Brady Bunch only Crazier!) The walk near me is on July 13th, I'm hoping to be down in pounds quite a bit by then. They have a 1 Mile or a 3 Mile option. Since I've been walking on my treadmill 6 days a week I think I'm going to try for the 3 Mile route. Oh and Happy World Lupus Day.... hope you're all wearing purple today. Best of luck all!

    I did my city's walk in Tampa on the fifth. I loved it, even though it was hard, I tried to do the entire three miles but my mom needed to duck out early so we did about 2.5 miles. I love having such a great community. I would like to invite you, if you have facebook, to our private facebook support group. It's private so what is said in the group doesn't get seen by everyone on your friends list which is a great help.

    I found it a few weeks ago and though scared of the distance and the conditions I wanted to try it.

    Would have been more than a physical challenge, as I am just now diagnosed and I feel like taking part would do more to cement the weight of the diagnosis. Still I would have tried. Unfortunately I wont be in the city at the time of the walk (June 1) and they dont hold one in my city...
