Hello Summer

Living in Georgia is a whirlwind of weather changes.....one day 50 something and the next day 80 something, but I think that we are finally at the point where weather is great and warm. Time to pull out the grill and hit the farmers markets to cook up some local favorites. In the South that translates to corn, green peas, tomatos and peaches. I grew up in a fat filled delicious traditional South which was sweet potato casserole, deviled eggs and ham to name a few.....over the last year though I have come to embrace olive oil instead of butter, cauliflower instead of potatoes, and grilled fish instead of fried. It has been a journey, but it has been an utterly delicious transformation. Here is to the farmers market and the grill in place of the fryer!!!
