Did W1D1 yesterday and enjoyed it. I can run a km on the treadmill but outside is different (mainly as I live in Yorkshire and its hilly every way).
I started C25K last year but ended up with shin splints so being very careful but managed all the runs and overall did 3.6 km. I love the fact it shows you your route and where you have walked/ran and also gives me ideas how to expand so not running the same way.

Welcome to Abel! We can always use more runners.
If the shin splints come back, consider changing to another shoe model. Running specialist stores can help you get fitted for optimal support to avoid pain and injury.0 -
Hi, also just starting out (and I hear the shin splits, I had ankle issues last time I tried running :grumble: ). Welcome Runner 5 to the Zombie Apocalypse :happy:0

Thank you everyone - did d2 today and was a little faster which was a bit of a surprise to be honest. Love the map as it shows me all the little streets and I went a different way today.
Thanks for the advice about running shoes - I had my fitted at a local running store when I started out last time. I think it was caused by too much too soon and being more overweight and also smoking.0 -
W1D2 done today as well - I'm really loving the app!0
