Level II Ultrasound today

I had my level II ultrasound today and when I got there they told me I was on the schedule TOMORROW! I was like are you kidding me? Apparently my doctor's office somehow gave me the wrong date. Luckily they agreed to work me in so it was ok but I did have to wait almost 2 hours. I talked to the genetic counselor and she showed me the quad screen results and it showed a 1/180 chance of spina bifida. My afp was 2.64 so she said it was just a little high. She then asked me if I had any bleeding during the pregnancy and I told her yes. She said that alone could cause the afp and hcg to be a little elevated which both of mine were. I had the ultrasound and the girl that scanned me was in my ultrasound class so that was kinda neat. We go to catch up and talk a little and she told me everything looked great. The doctor also came in and said it looked good and they couldn't find any cause for the elevated afp. So I'm breathing a big sigh of relief tonight and am feeling a lot better!!! :happy:
