What's all the bltching about Abercrombie & Fitch? He doesn't seel XL clothes? Isn't that his choice? It's his business. Everybody has their turd in a knot. Don't shop there.

Should the skinny people get all up in arms about Lane Bryant? They don't cater to to the thin. It's the exact same thing in reverse.

Personally, I think Abercrombie & Fitch will put themselves out of business anyways as America is trending over 33% obesity. Pretty soon they'll have no one to sell to.

We tend to blow everything out of proportion. If you don't like a business, don't patronize it. Start your own business to fill whatever void is created, but stop with the Media events over every thing.

If we didn't have stores that catered to niches, they would all be the same.

Meh, I just think the hypocrisy and shallowness that the CEO has is what gets people in knots. A 68 year old man with a horrible plastic surgery done (He looks like he could be the brother of Joan Rivers or melt if it got hot enough) telling people that only cool and good-looking people should wear their clothes is kinda funny in my opinion.

But honestly, to me, it's good for a laugh for a day or two... I was never able to wear their clothes even when I was a size 8 every where else... I'm not going to wear their clothes even if I could fit in them.... they are overpriced and flimsy. Besides, I'm not a fan of them having soft-core porn as their ads and then kick a mother out for breastfeeding (albeit covered and showing off MUCH less than what their ads do).

I'm glad we have stores that cater to niches, for me it's something to aspire to in a sense... You know like, I really don't want to shop in Lane Bryant (because of my height and structure everything looks horrible on me, I don't have the height or the build to pull it off) but would love to shop at Express or something (I really want to buy cute dresses from ModCloth that's what I am aspiring to)... I don't know.

Sure, he's an *kitten*, but there's no point in getting pissed off at him in particular. He's free to sell whatever clothes he wants, and everyone else is free to not buy them.

The bigger issue is whether or not our society promotes or rewards this type of shallowness, and if that's a good thing or a bad thing. If you think it's bad, try being the change you want to see and hopefully influence the people around you, your kids, etc.

There are plenty of stores that don't carry larger sizes, just as there are plenty of stores that don't carry the smaller sizes. I don't like the quality of their clothes anyway and our rule with them for my stepdaughter always was that if she wanted something from there it would have to come from her own savings because we wouldn't pay that much for such junky clothing. Meh, the guy is an *kitten*, but it is his store. I do know plenty of customers he has lost over this. I don't know if he managed to gain as many as he lost!

I hope the people that shop there realize why they are paying so much for a shirt, the price of exclusivity. I just think the CEO is stupid for openly offending a good portion of the population. But hey that's why this is america, equal opportunity even for A-holes.
