I usually train with use of a HR monitor. This week I have had a cold. Not a bad one, but just stuffed up. I noticed on my runs, when I am running, my HR is about 10 beats higher at same levels. Is this normal? Thanks

Yes, normal. Your breathing is compromised. It's okay to slow down and breathe through your mouth some.0

Absolutely. In fact, if you take your resting heart rate every morning, you will know you're coming down with something before you even have symptoms, because your heart rate will spike up.0
