Well we just got back from our baby moon from ST Croix, USVI Saturday night. Had a wonderful time. Did a lot of snorkeling and some hiking. Read 3 books and relaxed. It was wonderful just getting away from everything. My 3 yr old and 2 yr old did great with a week at grandma and grandpas. They still had their routines of daycare and school, which I am sure helped them. I got a ton of hugs and kisses all day Sunday. I didn't notice it while I was gone but weather was kind of cool when I got home so I pulled out the jeans. Jeans I was wearing pretty comfortably a week ago. They could barely button! I couldn't believe the changes that happened in one week. I had a feeling I changed while gone. The shorts I packed fit a little loose at beginning of vacation. By the end they were getting a little tight. I also felt like I was getting more pregnant. So strange how a week changes things. I know I should be used to it. Baby #3 here and 18 weeks tomorrow. the fact I am not in maternity clothes amazes me. Also stood on the scale when I got home. a 3lb gain!!! I had managed no gain for pregnancy before I left. I am not ashamed of 3 lbs at 18 weeks. But, 3 lbs in one week. That I am ashamed of. I tried pretty hard not to gain. I kept active and we stayed in a condo so we cooked all but 4 meals. So, I didn't eat too bad. It could be water weight though. Will have to weigh again tomorrow to see if it goes down a bit. I would be happier with a 2 lb gain. Still not great, but it was a vacation. So, I guess I can't be too mad at myself if it is a 2 lb gain. As long as the 2 lbs don't happen every week.

At 19w4d tomorrow with my 2nd pregnancy, I too am not officially in maternity clothing yet. I can still buckle my favorite jeans without issue, but I hesitate to wear them as-is for fear of stretching them out even a tiny fraction.
Over the weekend I purchased a combo pack of Belly Belts (essentially strips of fabric in various lengths fitted with buttons or clasps and intended to lengthen the wearability of pre-pregnancy pants), but even using the shortest strip of fabric on the closest button proves too loose at this point: using the shortest extender I wore my jeans without the fear of stretching, but had to wear a faux t-shirt layer to hold up the pants.
A 3-lb. gain on a vacation while pregnant, no less, is quite minimal in my opinion. Nicely done.I'm glad you and Hubby had the opportunity to get away by yourselves pre-Baby #3!
