    Welcome v_wich86. I love the Turbo Fire workouts. I am in Week 8 and sweating my butt off. Since I started this program, I am really having to UP my caloric intake in order to Net my calories to zero. I easily burn 600-800 a workout. That is almost two meals for me.

    What fitness routine is on everyone's schedule today? Have you planned out your meals? I baked some tilapia and boiled some eggs last night to bring with me to work today. And a granola bar. Oatmeal and toast was breakfast, and Shakeology with some extras will be dinner. Tonight is Core 20 and Maybe Fire 45.

    How is your day?

    I am doing the 30 day squat challenge with some friends for the month of June. Have to get in 75 today! Actually it is not as bad as I thought it would be, but I am sure I won't be saying that at the end of the month when I am trying to get in 250 in a day.

    I am also doing another fitness/weight loss challenge with friends. This would be the fourth one I have done. I won the first two, and was third place in the third one. Woo hoo! The current one is a litle different from the previous one. This time everyone who wants to be in gives $10 and the highest % of weight loss over the 13 weeks gets the money (that part is the same as previous). The new part is that now everyone has to weigh in every Thursday. If you have gained from the week before, you have to put in another $1. Second place at the end of the contest will get all those extra dollars that have been put in. Well today was the first weekly weigh in and I lost 2.4 pounds! I have been yo-yo ing back and forth with 2 - 3 pounds for about 5 months now, so I am worried that I need to keep it off for next week. I can't make myself believe that the plateau is over, but it would be nice!

    Lisah,

    That is a cool challenge. Glad you got to keep your dollar this week too. :)
    Is the 75 all to be done at once or can you spread it out throughout the day? 250 sounds scary. Congrats on winning the first two challenges. That is incredible. Way to go.

    What are your weekend plans? Fitness goals? and will there be any food preparation for the upcoming week? I am hoping to do some cooking and prepping for the upcoming week. That will save $, calories, and time. What about you?

    They can be broken up. Today is 80 total. I did two sets of 28 for the first 56 (about a 30 second break in between) and will do the last 24 tonight when I do NROLFW as it contains 24 barbell squats. I know I would never be able to do 250 of them without stopping.

    Actually I have been doing some of them at work in my office. I have a small mirror on the wall and have been doing them in the area in front of the mirror (didn't pick it on purpose). So it makes me laugh every time I get back up and my face pops up in the mirror. It's like playing peek a boo with myself. LOL! Yes...I am easily amused.

    Now that you mention the squats, I have noticed several of my FB friends doing this same challange. Good job; keep it up.

    One of my goals used to be to actually RUN my half marathons that I do. So far, I have been able to only run 3 miles non stop a few times on the treadmill. I still do my races with a run/walk combo. I did a 5k this year at just under a 12 minute mile pace while running and walking and am very proud of that. I have changed my goals now to try and do a 10k under 12 minute pace. I just really want to keep improving. If one day, I can run 13.1 miles non stop that would be incredible, but for right now I am not going to take it as a bad thing if I have to walk a good portion of my races. As long as I am improving and doing my best, I will be happy about it.

    I also want to complete NROLFW. I am almost through stage 1 now and I really enjoy it. Did I just say enjoy??? LOL! Lifting makes me feel bad *kitten*!

    Lisah;

    You rock already. One day soon you will be able to run the whole 13.1 without stopping. Do your best and foreget the rest!

    So I went to OH for a week over July 4th. I signed up for a 5k there and did it with my 73 year old Mom. We walked it and she did really well for the first two miles (15:30 pace), but we slowed a bit on the final mile as it was all uphill! I made her stay after while they were giving out the awards. She made third place in the 60 and over category! LOL! There were only 3 women over 60 apparently, but it was very cool that she got a medal for it. She has signed up to do a 10k at Disney in February with me (I'm doing a 10k and Half the next day). That will be fun. I will take it easy on the 10k and walk it with her and then can save energy for my Half the next day since i am doing that one alone.

    Other than that, I did my long day on vacation at the local high school's track. It was that nice soft, rubbery material which is super easy on the knees. I walked about half of it and did my six miles in an 11:54 pace! I was shocked and elated. That would be my longest run outside under 12 pace. I am sure it helped that the temp outside is about 20 degrees cooler than it is here in FL right now.

    How is everyone else doing?
