Okay, I was looking through all the posts from the past, and no one has ever asked about low-cal, healthy recipes. So, here we are! Does anyone have a go-to recipe that you want to share? I absolutely LOVE to cook and finding low-cal recipes and tweaking my own have been a great challenge!

One of my favorite, easy, recipes is for sloppy joes.

-Arnold Sandwich thins (100 calories)
-1 lb extra lean ground beef, ground turkey, or veggie crumbles.
-1 can condensed tomato soup
-1/3 cup chopped onion
-1/3 cup chopped green bell pepper
-1/4 cup of ketchup
-1/4 cup of yellow mustard.
salt and pepper to taste

Cook beef (turkey, crumbles) with onions and green peppers until all done. Add each additional ingredient one at a time, stirring constantly until all combined. Let simmer for 5 minutes and serve with pickles and crudites.

It isn't low-sodium, but makes a great sloppy joe when you don't have a lot of time to cook. Even my teenager loves them!
