i cant seem to drop the last 12 lbs... im running or working out 3-5x a week eating smart... Any advice what I can change up??

Welcome! Are you doing any strength training? That would make a huge difference, not just in weight loss, but overall body composition.0

There is a good quiz in the "Making the Cut" book by Jillian Michaels. It helps you decide what your metabolic type is and then you can balance your calories appropriately for you. For example, I am a balanced metabolizer and so I eat 40-30-30 (carbs-protein-fat). It is a great way to be sure you are getting everything you need but stay at a low level. I agree with strength training...super important. Mixing things up is good too...running, swimming, cycling, not doing the same thing all the time. Good luck!!!0

1. switch up workouts. Like said above. Your body and muscles adapt to a workout, I would say change up every 10 days.
2. Make sure you are eating enough? This sounds crazy, but I actually talked to my nutritionist about it when she asked me if I was eating enough. I then logged all my calories carefully and found that when I splurged + workout, I ate back all my calories which is good. But when I had a clean eating day + workout- I was barely clearing 1000 cals, which is NOT good!0
