Slight pain in my left ankle...

So, I'm about to start week 5 the next time I can go out. I had planned on completing w5d1 two days ago but my left ankle started to swell a little bit the day before. The pain was very minimal. The swelling has gone down and I was going to run today but I thought I'd play it safe and stay home.

I didn't feel any pain at the start of my day but I've been doing chores around the house and now I have a steady ache coming from the lower part of my ankle. It's not intense by any means. It's just there. I don't want to make this any worse but I also want to get back out there and continue with the program.

I spent most of yesterday off of my feet but today I am moody and antsy and I want to move-- I want to do things.

Plus-- I'm discovering that it's kind of hard to stay within my calorie limit when I don't have the added exercise calories-- Especially since I eat when I'm bored and I am so bored right now. :-l

Has anyone else had an ankle problem like this? How long did it last? Am I handling it right? And what do you do when you can't do much on your feet?

I guess I really posted this because I'm frustrated and a little annoyed. I really didn't think I was overworking myself and I stretch before and after I run...

If it's a continuous slight pain, then I would get it checked out. Even though the pain is slight now, if it's something more serious it could get worse if it's not looked at. At the very least, you go to the doctor and he/she puts your mind at ease by saying you are free to run without issue. That's what I would do. Good luck!

I would get it checked out as well. If Dr says its OK to walk/run, get one of those stretchy ankle brace things and wear that- it will help.
