So ladies,

how was day 1. Are you sore, tired, happy? how do you feel.

I was very sore and sweaty.. But after a shower, it just felt great.. my main problems are push ups and abs.. grr.. the rest of the day 1 I could do it without any problems.. I didnt have weights, but I will find them for today.. How much of weight do you lift?
My regular weight lifting, I usually lift 2kg or 3kg, depends what exercise.. I think I will go with 2kg for 30D..

What are your experiences? Do you think you still stay until end?

i'm going to be on day 3 today... but my arms and legs are killing me. my butts a little sore too. dont feel anything in the abs, which sucks because that is my main problem! :( im using 5 lb weights. and the only issue i have so far is the side lunges w/ the dumb bell raises. they're killing me! but good luck, we can do this!!!
  • I did Day 2 this morning. My knees are really hurting now. :(

I'm sure I will stick with it, I think I am going to day the Shred 5 days a week so it will take me 6 weeks to complete. My sore spots are pushups for sure! And the cardio that has me jumping around. I switch it up to make it lower impact. I think I could do crunches all day though! I'm sure I have some killer abs hiding under those layers of fat.

Today will be Level 1 Day 3 for me!!! I had a knee and ankle injury, but i am still determined to finish. This is my second time starting the shred, the first time I saw some good results. I am definitely motivated to complete this dvd, and I am here for you all as well to make sure you complete it as well! LOL

What is everyone doing as far as how many days on each level? The last time I did the shred I did 10 days of each level and took one day a week so for me I had every Sunday off and didn't do it on that day just Mon- Sat. I am starting my first day today! My birthday is August 31st and I would really like to do it straight through with no days off and complete it by my birthday since we are going camping that weekend and I won't have a chance to do it those days. I heard though that it's bad if you don't take at least one day off. Thoughts?

Are you going to take any breaks in between or at all?
  • I know I need rest days, especially at first. I am going to try to do 5 days/week.

So my knee still really hurts from yesterday. I think it's from the "knee circles" in the warmup! Planning to skip those when I shred tonight.
  • And you're supposed to move up a level once you feel ready. Last time I only did level 1 for 6 days before I moved up. Once it gets easy I want to challenge myself more!

I am starting day 5 tomorrw, and my soreness has gone down alot! The hardest days were 2-3 so far because of how sore I was. The hardest for me is push ups, and the bicycle crunches. Then also sometimes the cardio because my legs were feeling so weak I couldn't jump.
but today felt great and I expect tomorrow will feel great as well. :)

I also plan to do 10 days per level, and I don't plan to take breaks as this is only workout I am doing. It's short and effective and the only thing I have time for as a mom of two.

This week I am going to do the shred in the morning before work. I also like doing hip hop abs. I do have to modify some things because of my knee and ankle injury, but I definitely challenge myself with both workouts.
