Whitening Lotion and Soap

Wondering if anyone here had recommendations for whitening lotions or soaps. I would've asked in the normal forums, then I realized most people want to be tan, not pale. X3
I'm in the US so my selection might be limited. I live in a good area for finding products from Asia though.
At the moment I use a Belo whitening SPF 15 lotion but I'm running low and it's really expensive now for a replacement. Would prefer some cheaper alternatives, but if it doesn't work then I'd rather spend money on something that does.
Edit: I'm also not very dark (half-white) but summer has caught up to me and I'd like to get back to normal. So nothing drastic is required. c:

I'm not trying to argue or something but I don't see any reason to use those whitening products. Neither do I see the reason for the Whites wanting to be tan.
I'm also half-White & while I'm not too brown but I still consider myself a brown-skinned mestiza (technically I am a mestiza since I'm Hispanic-Filipino though they don't consider me one here regardless of my features since I have tan skin & in the Philippines, mestizo means having fair skin) and I love my tanned skin no matter if people here think I'm weird for staying out in the sun & swimming during daytime. Meanwhile I do get some comments from some people that they love my eyes & features but I would look more attractive if only I were became more fair-skinned that offends me the most. Better off not giving me any comment at all than saying this bulls*** in my face.
What matters the most is how we are comfortable in our own skin & for the features that we are born with. I believe that we are all beautiful no matter what our color is.0 -

Perhaps it would be better go to that Asian store & then inquire for the cheaper brand that they can offer. But be wary of those items that has a high mercury content especially those coming from China. My ex co-worker developed a skin allergy from using one skin whitening though I have no idea where did she bought it. Sometimes even those items with FDA approval can be risky. Just like when buying a foundation, do a skin test first using that product & let it sit for 24 hours before you consider buying it.0 -
Is taking pills an option? You might wanna find whitening pills that has a high amount of Glutathione (I think thats how you spell it) lol.. otherwise you can search for some home remedy whitening mask, lotion etc. like mixing lemon with honey, or using honey and milk as a shower gel hope that helps!0
