After a tough first half with left foot issues, the heat and not so great training due to getting super busy with work I completed my first half on May 6th in 2:41. Not great but it's a start, right? So here I am signed up for my 2nd on October 21st!

Congrats! It's definitely addicting. I ran my first half injured. Then tore my calf a month before the next one I had signed up for. Tentatively planning on running one in October - and keeping my fingers crossed I don't injure myself in the mean time.

Heck, that sounds like a good finishing time to me!

While training for my first half I strained a calf muscle toward the beginning of my training. So with recovery time and trying to get my training in I never ran more than 7.5 miles prior to the race. Finished in under 3 hours (barely).... which made me want to run another one to see if I could beat that time.

And now everytime I finish one half marathon I sign up for another one to see if I can beat my previous race time!

Great job! Finishing a half is something most people can't say they ever did :) my goal for my first half is just to finish :)
