Hello to all of you in this group. I am not sure if this is how I will eat forever but I do have a diet that is somewhat restrictive because of food allergy/sensitivities. This has forced me to significantly change how I eat. It most closely resembles the paleo I believe. I do not do dairy, gluten and several other grains, soy, coconut, and yams. I do potatoes and rice some and have found even the gluten free breads sometimes cause a reaction as well.
If anyone would like to become friends I would welcome that. I am looking forward to learning more about this way of living.

I would suggest that you reconsider coconut. Despite the fat, and actually because of it, I consider it a Super Food. I eat coconut oil and/or milk every single day and when I do that I have the best results and feel AMAZING. My weight loss is accelerated by coconut. Strange, I know, considering what we are told about fat day after day...
Also, if you are willing to eat some processed grain products, rice and potatoes; why do you avoid yams? Carbs sure, but they are healthy. i don't personally eat yams right now, but will once I have my health in order.
Gluten free breads are still grain and processed so some of us will still have difficulty with them. I tried going just gluten-free, hoping that other grains would work for me, but they don't. All grains and legumes lead me to binge and struggle with food addiction.
Just my opinion.

Coconut and yams I have allergic reactions to. So that is why I do not use them. It is not a paleo diet per say or a primal for that matter. But it seems similiar in many aspects. I do rice and potatoes because there are just some meals you would like a little more with. This is a learning process and this seems to be a group that is similiar to how I am currently eating.0
