I know SusanMarie is in aikido but is there anyone else besides the two of us? On these forums that is....

    I took Aikido for a couple of years when I was teenager. Enjoyed it thoroughly.

    There are no Aikido teachers near me. But I am fascinated with Morihei Ueshiba!

    I live around the Hillsdale area of MI and we have nothing out this way; have to drive an hour to town to do aikido which is okay. Right now I am off practicing until my bum hip heals a bit more. I have lost close to 20 pounds which is helping with the hip but it isn't better yet. Hoping to be back on the mat very soon!

    Sorry you don't have anything near you Bushidomama. Aikido is awesome.

    I'm practicing Aikido but unfortunately I have to stop for a while due to financial reasons but definitely I will come back. Definitely enjoyable plus the Senseis are nice. I also did taekwondo before & while I find the two very useful but honestly I found Aikido to be more practical as far as application goes.
