I have found that if I plan my whole day, I do much better. I scheduled in a little treat today of some gardettos. I found half a bag in my drawer so I thought I would try half a cup! Anyone else plan their whole day out?

  • I don't, only because I don't always bring a lunch, and it al depends on when we get home after running errands.

Yeah sometimes you can't! But tonight I know exactly what my plans are and I have leftovers in the fridge so I can eat quick and go to Lifetime to work!
  • When I have time I do. Like I'll put everything in a bag and then pre log it on MFP so then I know what I have left. It does make it easier to stay on track.

I like to plan each day the night before and enter it into my food journal. That way I can make any necessary adjustments. I always leave myself some unused calories so I can add food if my plans change. I find it helps me to stay on track better

I wish I was able to pre-plan. It seems that every time I do, I end up wanting something different. I usually just make sure I have lots of choices while I'm at work so I'm not stuck with just one thing. For dinner, or lunch, or breakfast (depending on my work sched) I just throw something together when I get home. I am only cooking for one so that makes it easier for me- don't have anyone else's taste buds to worry about.

Pre-planning works out real well for me. I try to do it at night for the next day. If my plans or meals change, it is not hard to adjust.
