Bodyweight Exercises, Bands, and Hand Weights

Hi!
I am new to this group, and I'm looking for help creating my weekly exercise routine.
I'd like to strength train 3x a week, do cardio 4 or 5x a week, and generally just improve overall strength, tone, and health. I am also in the process of losing weight, I have a knee injury that began when i trained for a 1/2 marathon, and I DO NOT have a gym membership.
While I know that some will not agree with this, I am looking for DVDs or routine that use hand weights, BW exercises, resistance bands, etc....ie: NOT weight machines at the gym.
I do best when i have a training plan to follow, and while i have learned some strength training moves, i do not know how to structure them into a routine that i can remember and do.
thanks!

Hey there ...
Yes, you can get in GREAT shape without a gym (and I say this as a gym rat / fitness trainer who loves lifting heavy!
Check out this COOL VIDEO: Work Out With No Equipment
Perfect for days you can't make it to the gym! - NO equipment required ...
To take it up a notch. definitely also work out with bands and dumbbells at home ...

I always workout at home. P90x, p90x2, which you can modify with what you have... or check out cathe.com. She is awesome, and you can just buy individual DVDs, based on what equipment you have, and what you want to do.0

If you have a video game console, EA Sports Active 2 is what got me started with strength training. It comes with bands, or you can use hand weights, as well as corrects your form and counts calories. You can do one of their workout programs, or create a custom exercise routine.
After a while, that stopped being a challenge, and that's when I switched to lifting heavy.0 -

I'm doing the Chalean Extreme program. It's three days of weight training and two days of cardio. It comes with the bands, but I bought adjustable weights. It's a 90 day program. The first 30 days you do 8-10 reps til failure, next 30 6-8, and then back to 8-10. I'm in the second phase of the program and love it. I've really gotten a lot stronger.
I also have the book You are Your Own Gym and have incorporated some of his exercises into my routine.0 -
I don't belong to a gym, and do all of my training at home. I have a blog/youtube where I film and share all of my workouts: www.benderfitness.com and/or www.youtube.com/mdloughy
There are about 200 different workouts on there (all free). I hope it helps! The gym is a great tool, but you can still get great results at home.0
