Hi -
I'm Sarah. I live in Chicago and am a college student. I just joined this group.
I identify as bi. It's kind of hard because I'm not out to my parents. They are extremely Asian and really conservative. :-/
Anyway, I feel like I haven't found the right support from anyone about weight loss.
Perhaps you all can help me stay motivated.
My goal is to lose 15+ pounds by December for graduation.
Hope to meet you. :)

    Hi,

I am a non-traditional student, attending the UIC School of Pharmacy (but the Rockford campus). My partner, and his parents, are extremely Asian as well (Taiwanese), and he isn't out to his parents either.

I find it is MUCH easier to lose weight during the summer because I tend to be an obsessive workaholic during school and always put school first.

Anyways, welcome and feel free to add me.

Every time I hear of parents being "extremely asian" it cracks me up. I don't know why. So funny!

Anyway, yeah, I'm chasing a Criminology Degree at the moment. Can definitely be tough. Stick with it! Congratulations, by the way. What degree will you be graduating with?

Sorry to hear that. It's rough not being able to be out. It seems like myfitnesspal does have a great support atmosphere going, though, at least!

I'm a history major at Oberlin College - finishing up my last year. Trying to get into some good habits this month so I can hopefully keep it up once classes begin.

Good luck with your goals, and everything else :).

My own goal is -5 for August (EEK) and -15 by winter vacation. Let's do this together!
