Forgiving Ourselves

Hi Friends,
I wanted to tell you about something I'm doing that you might find interesting. Christiane Northrup, M.D., wrote a great book, The Secret Pleasures of Menopause. She offers affirmations throughout, but two caught my eye and I've put them together and am writing them each day at the end of my journaling. She suggests 40 days and I've done 19 so far, but I'm pretty sure I'll continue because they feel so good to say to myself:
"I now forgive myself for everything that I didn't know or do in the past.I release myself to my highest joy and purpose in life. The more pleasure I spread to others, the more I will feel myself and the more joyous and healthy the world around me becomes."
Forgiveness is the highest human attribute but sometimes the only person we don't or can't forgive is ourselves.

Hi Ms. Coach,
I sent you an email and finally I figured out how to join a group. Anyway, your post was very good. We should never dwell on the past but we should move forward. God has forgiven us, so why can't we?0
