Is this enough?

Hi all. I'm in need of your advice, posted this in general forum and got no response.
I have been on this site over a year and tried numerous fitness dvds but mainly Jillian's and Chalene's and I always go back to Chalene as I love her energy and enthusiasm and if I enjoy what I'm doing it doesn't become a chore.
I began Chalean Extreme Monday and really enjoying it, this is my first time in a lifting program and really want to stick to the full 12 weeks as I've never completed a full program I usually end up doing my own thing mixing the dvds or in the case of 30DS giving up completely. I lost 28 lbs by Feb then fell off track and regained quite a bit and I still have alot to lose (100lbs) and need to know whether it is worth my time continuing on this path or up the cardio?
On rest and circuit days I'm following it with 20-30 mins of Turbo Jam or Fire but I'm beginning to think I'm not going to lose the necessary lbs to start seeing a difference once the program is complete or any shrinkage. So far my arms just feel heavy a sign I think I'm lifting the right amount but I'm the type of person I like to see my efforts too.
All advice greatly appreciated.

I think you're definitely doing enough if you're adding the TF in there. Keep in mind though, that you may not see the scale change, especially in the beginning of each phase. The body can hold onto a lot of water when you're lifting. I haven't seen the scale change in a month and was feeling very discouraged. I did see my measurements go down and clothing become looser and that's what's important. The scale will eventually catch up. I'm not saying this will happen to you but just want to prepare you if you don't see the numbers drop as quickly as before. This really got me down this week but I have very supportive friends that made me feel better.0

One of the reasons it was easy for me to stick with was I knew things would change in a few weeks and every workout (except the cardio) was different.
Your body might hold water but remember muscle DOES weigh more than fat.
Also-- changes happen on the inside first so give it about 4-6 weeks (that's the first circuit and half of the second) and you'll notice.
don't forget to take your photos!! (and measurements).
happy chaleaning

Thank you for your advice. I've just completed Burn circuit 3 and Turbo Fire 30.
I realise it well take time I just wanted to make sure there would be some shrinkage to come and all my efforts will show and not just be under the flab until I shed it all.0 -
I completed both Turbo Fire and Chalean Extreme, I did Turbo Fire first. I can tell you that I didn't think anything would happen with Chalean extreme, the weight lifting part didn't seem like I was doing much after the crazy fire 60's and 55's! But OMG, I went from a size 10 to a loose size 6. I have never been a size 6 in my whole life. Do the program and trust in it. I did lose weight, not sure how much? Maybe 8-10 lbs, but I was closer to my goal weight. My body literally shrunk doing this program. I just finished Isanity (not impressed with it at all) and now I am back to CLX lean for life phase with Turbo Fire on the cardio and off days. I just love her. Keep it up!! You will be impressed.0

That is great to hear! I wasn't sure if doing the weights would make as much difference as something like Insanity (I haven't tried it but have seen people posting about it more than CLX). I love CLX so far, even if I don't know how much I'll lose.. I do feel a little stronger!0 -
As a 35 yo young lady, I'm intimadated by Insanity! My knees are just fine--I don't want to wreck them.
You will see the most change in the Lean phase. I think that probably in most of the 3 month program the last month is the "game changer."
people who let go before then don't get the benefits of sticking with the program.
I have photos of my before and after ChaLean --http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/645457-chalean-extreme-results
and my before and after BBL --http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/604845-bbl-fans-how-long-before-you-saw-results
now I'm p90x'ing. I couldn't have done this program without starting at ChaLean first i'm sure of it.0 -

Wicked!!
I began the 2nd week of Burn today and I don't know why but I felt like my lifting was weak but my arms do feel heavy so I must have done something right. (hopefully) I always do some form of cardio after the burn circuits either Turbo Jam or Fire, was looking at the Hybrid but I'm so not ready.
Before taking on CLX I did attempt an Insanity workout, I did the extreme cardio one (forgot the name) and OMG was it horrible I only lasted 20mins of a 40 min session but baring in mind I'm 230lbs I consider that not too bad and I welcomed the floor after lol. I'm going to continue with this program as I'm dying to see what it can do for me and will invest in adjustable dumbbells too. I am a numbers girl and usually need to see the scale move but if I can see inches coming off I'm happy, measurements already taken. The plus side modified push ups are getting a little easier but still very tough.
Can't wait to do my 90 day update already got before pictures.0
