Was wondering what people prefer, morning or evening shredding? I WANT to do morning, but I have the hardest time getting up so I do evenings before dinner.

I have been waking up at 5am every morning to do it because I like just getting it out of the way before work. I am trying to exercise in the evening as well just a walk or something to get the blood flowing.

I read somewhere once that the best time of day to workout is when you'll actually workout! haha I think it's just what works best for you. If you really aren't a morning person, you shouldn't set yourself up for failure by saying you'll do it every morning, and vice versa. Personally, the thought of getting up extra early to fit it in before work is agonizing, so I always do it first thing when I get home; however, I always do it first thing when I wake up on the weekends, because I want to get it out of the way and enjoy my day =)

It feels better to get it out of the way for the day, but if you are not a morning person (I'm not), do it late at night. Some nights I haven't put the disk in until midnight. Usually I do it in the evening after my kids go to bed and the treadmill in the late morning during nap time. But my husband comes home today from working out of town for 8 days, so I think I will switch to doing it in the morning before he gets up. Then I can walk in the evening outside before it gets dark and he can watch the kids. Also, honestly, I would feel weird doing that workout with him in the room. We have been together for 16 years (since I was 15), but he doesn't need to see my flab bouncing during the all the cardio, especially with Jillian right there to compare me to, lol!

hahah @codapea! i told my boyfriend not to watch too and banished him out of the living room during my exercise. but he still watched from the other room and cracks up quite a bit. not so much to my failure of a jumping jack/pushup but more because after almost everything jillian says, he says "that's what she said." Makes me giggle in between my huffing and puffing. :-)

I workout(30DS) between 10 am-1 pm and I usually take my dog for a walk around 7 pm or 8 pm. I go back to college this fall Sept. 5. So I probably won't be working out until 3 in the after noon. Since my classes are from 10:45-2:30.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who doesn't want their husband in the room. My kids are bad enough. My oldest likes to ask if I'm kicking myself in the butt...

Evenings during the week - mornings on the weekend. There's no way I'm getting up any earlier during the week and on the weekends if I don't do it first thing I probably wouldn't do it....
