Hi ladies,

My name is Julie and have been suffering with endometriosis for years. I had a laparoscopy last week and removal of two patches of endometriosis.

My main question is...have any of you lovely ladies managed to have children despite the horrible endo and if so, what did you do to help?

I'm 35 now and the biological clock is about to explode!!

I have tried changing my diet, eliminating caffeine, hormonally treated meat and dairy but little change in symptoms.

I'd love to hear your experiences...x

My doc actually sent me to a fertility specialist so makes sure that everything else at least checked out okay. I have some tests coming up. Maybe ask about something like that?

Otherwise, all I'm told is "you won't know for sure until you try."

I've been going to a fertility specialist too, so fingers crossed.

Similar experiences as you, I was diagnosed about 8 years ago and have had 2 laparoscopies now. I've been going to a fertility specialist for the entire 8 years because he's the endometriosis expert, but I have never tried to concieve yet.
What i've heard from my friends with endo who have had children though is (1) a lot of them have gotten pregnant very soon after having ablation surgery, and (2) a lot of them have also said they couldn't concieve and were trying this and that and the other and as soon as they gave up, they got pregnant. I'm not saying give up! but maybe just relax. I know, much easier said than done.
