Surgery is done!! Woot!

Surgery yesterday - all went well. Felt horrible when I came to though...lots of pain and nausea. But by early evening I was starting to feel better - was able to get up and start doing laps around the unit. I've been up this morning and showered and doing more laps. I've also started my water every hour. If all goes well and I tolerate my protein drink tomorrow morning, I'll get to go home.

Absolutely amazed that I don't feel a bit hungry....

    Good for you! Getting up and getting moving was my first goal, I realized pretty quick I needed to take the pain killers for a couple of days but all and all it was a simpler and quicker process then I was expecting. I don't remember which surgery you went for but keep us posted so we can keep you encouraged.

    You are doing awesome! Congrats :) The worst part is over and now it is a matter of readjusting to your new life. So excited for you! Walk Walk Walk....sip sip sip...take your pain meds when needed. You got this!
