September Starting Weight - Let the Games Begin

For those of you who want to weigh in today and get a jump on the Sept challenge, have at it. I weigh in on Saturday mornings. Good luck. Make sure to post your Starting Weight (SW) and Goal Weight (GW). As we head on to the second week, we'll add the Current Weight (CW).

    I'm starting now! My starting weight (now) is 179. My goal weight for the end of September is 170! It's a start, but I have a ways to go!!!

    I have been in the 130's for the past 1 year, so I don't know if I can lose 8, but I'm sure going to try!

    Strategy - cutting down on carbs and doing the 30 Day Shred September Challenge.

    I added this to another challenge group I'm in. Here is a bit of what I will be doing. I'm all over the place because I get bored with the same routine so here goes:

    Bob Harper Ketlebell Cardio Shred (Love this more than JM30DS)
    Elliptical
    Treadmill
    Walk/Run when it's not too cold outside
    100's workout - see below

    100 Jumping Jacks (Wide arms- works chest)
    90 Crunches
    80 Squats (With or without weights)
    70 Leg Lifts (Floor and/or Hanging)
    60 Jumping Jacks (Wide arms- works chest)
    50 Crunches
    40 Squats (With or without weights)
    30 Leg Lifts (Floor and/or Hanging)
    20 Jumping Jacks (Wide arms- works chest)
    10 Minute Walk/Run/Jog (any cardio...run in place...NO EXCUSES)
    Take 5 Stretch and Breathe!

    • Floor and hanging leg lifts can be done using a 5lb medicine ball for more advanced workout.
    • Don't use too heavy a weight when doing weighted squats. Back should remain erect and knees don't go over toes. Too heavy a weight compromises form which causes injury.
    • Wide arm jacks - hold your palms out facing forward instead of overhead jacks. Engages your chest for an added bonus.
    • ALWAYS, ALWAYS keep your core tight!

    I would like to lose almost 11 pounds this month. I will be happy with 5 , more happy with 8, and super excited with anything over 10. I have been stuck for a very long time now and I know I am the only one who can change the numbers on that damn scale. No one else can do it for me
