I want to learn oly lifts, most especially the snatch. however, i dont go to a gym due to finances (even the affordable ones are an hour or more away) so i was wondering if there are books, or possibly videos that teach correct form? it took me a while, but i finally got deadlifts and squats down, so id like to move on
thanks ya'll

I am looking into this as well...I met a competitive weight lifter last night at the gym and I loved watching her. It seems pretty intimidating compared to what I'm used to. She told me abbout a group in a city near me that I can go and learn...it might be worth your while just to go for a session or two.0

Not the olympic snatch, but many similarities, and nobody seems to have as good of platform/instructional videos as Mark Rippetoe.0

Do you own a barbell and bumper weights? Because otherwise, you'll need to get gym membership to snatch.
I have heard of people on forums teaching themselves snatches with online videos and brooms, working up to weights after hammering out form, but i think its easier all round to hire a coach
Heres a good starting point anyway : http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/OlympicLifts/Snatch.html0
