Running plans this week?

Is anyone available Tuesday or Thursday?

Tuesday I have to meet my trainer at 6pm so I can meet anywhere close to the Baileys in Mandarin (or my house) anytime at or after 6:45.

Thursday, I have a swim meet and could meet anytime around 6:30

My plans for this week so far are to run Monday, Thursday and Saturday. I try to go right after work...6:30 is a little late for me.

I guess I will be running tomorrow...anyone else? Where and what time?
  • I made plans to go tonight with Alicia. I didn't know anyone else wanted to go tonight and I didn't even bring my running clothes to work with me so it would be kinda hard to get over there and back at a decent time. We planned to go around 6:30ish.

I am free to go tomorrow (wednesday) after work :)

Not a problem. You going to 1st Place Sports? Depending on what's going on @ work, I may go over there...
  • Tomorrow? If you decide to go we can go from 1st Place Sports at about the usual time 5:15-5:30

Tonight we are going from Alicia's house.
  • Ok, I kinda screwed tomorrow up but I have to get my mani/pedi in before my trip to Philly to see my daddy-o. 4pm tomorrow at Aveda in case anyone wants to join for that :)

From today on for the next month I won't be doing any Tues/Thursday/Sat morning runs. :(

Bootcamp = a class where the trainer puts you through a series of quick routines consisting of pushups, squats, pullups, short runs, situps, and jumping rope. They throw in some kettlebell weights to build some strength and the pullups are offset with resistance bands so you can actually do them.

for example, last night I did a sets of:
10 wall balls (throwing a 16 lb medicine ball above you along a wall while doing squats),
    10 situps
    50 jump rope
    5 pullups

And I had 12 minutes to do as many of these sets as possible. (I did 4 and some change and I suck at jumping rope).

Then, I did as many pushups for 20 seconds with 10 second break then pushups for 20 more seconds, etc which went on for 4 minutes or until my arms gave out (which they did after a couple of minutes).

    Finally I did:
30 weighted squats, ran 200m, 20 weighted squats, ran 200m, 10 weighted squats, ran 200m, weighted squats, ran 200m.

    I finished that in 9:13.

The whole idea of all this being that each time you come back you try to beat your previous time. Also, you won't do the same workout everyday so the above plan is my Tuesday routine. Thursday and Saturday will be different. After it was all said and done I was drenched in sweat and a little nauseous.

As far as running goes, I'm still doing my 5AM Tues and Thurs runs and 6AM Saturday marathon runs. ALSO, this bootcamp has a 10AM class option which I'm considering taking an extended lunch break to do... I just have to get my boss to approve it. :( if that works out then I can do the evenings like usual if not maybe Wednesdays or weekends. I'm still planning on doing the weekly sunday bike ride too.

    enjoy my novel.

You da man! The Y has a fitness camp that is probably a downgraded version of this...I haven't been able to get back to it because of running on Thursdays...

Where are you taking this class?

At a place called Bfit over by Sams in orange park. There is a 24 day weight loss challenge which is what brought me to this.
  • Wow, you are going all in. Is there an impending apocalypse that I wasn't briefed on? You are going to be one of those beach body guys in no time.
