Hello all !
I have been eating "whole" and clean for awhile now, With some exceptions since I am kinda low income right now and its hard to get the really good quality foods where I am, anyways..
I have told people some of the things i do, Like soaking my wheat, and a raw egg in the morning in a smoothy (a local free range egg thats washed with warm water and soap first to prevent anything getting in the egg when you crack it) And people think I am INSANE !
they say its soo bad for you yadda yadda and wont even consider that it could be okay to do it.
I was told by a dr. that as long as your healthy and you use good quality free range eggs that your fine and its extremely healthy.
I talk to alot of people that say they are also eathing "good" but their idea is DIET coke instead of coke and using fat free yogurts... It sad that people think getting a whole grain boxed over processed cereal is GOOD for you, and that they are doing so well for themselves (I thought it before too.)
Has anyone else had weird reactions from people when you tell them how you eat ?

LOL. Raw eggs have been used by many for years and years without major issue... The SAD (Standard American Diet) with it's refined sugars, processed food and genuine crap is more of a concern than anything. I don't eat any grains so I have no idea about soaking wheat (you'll never be able to convince me that grains are good again after eliminating them from my diet) but it's certainly a lot less processed than anything in the cereal aisle.
Remind the naysayers of this when they're having bypass surgery.0 -
Yes. I have heard it all. I proved them all wrong by having my blood work done, bf tests and keeping it off for 6 months without trying.0

Well as for the grains, They can be bad like if you get white bread or well any bread you can buy or any wheat you buy, but if you get certain flours and you soak them with whey or vinagar overnight (like they have been doing in some cultures for years, or soak your rice like they do in india still.) it makes it easy for your body to digest which is one of the problems with the crappy modified wheat now a days. And soaking your almonds etc.. as well. It reduces the Phytic acids. (not sure if i spelled that correctly)
Many cultures have been soaking their grains and flour for ever, and they are much healthier then north americans.0 -

'Easier digestion' still doesn't address the inflammation and glycemic problems that ingesting grains produce. It is a basic of paleo and primal diets that grains are to be avoided0
