I am a New low carber, goal 20 day, been on this two weeks now and feeling good as its working. Just love the idea of eating natural
REAL foods, Pleased to say I wont miss pasta or bread, rice, as not high on my agenda-ever. Just bloated me out, Potatoes will miss a little at the moment but no biggy as if I mixed meat & potato I usually suffered for it. same as meat an bread-say a burger, made me ill. So feeling great not suffering an hour or so after meals any more due to wheat&or carbs.
I am a chef full time and dont have much energy for exercise at the end of a day and Guess what= I can resist picking food at work on this diet= Yay x

Nice to have a fellow chef! I left the trade once my nest became empty but kept a small profile on my own for great side money. Great to have you here.. we have alot of amazing people in this group. Several 'sticky' threads for themed discussions so feel free to peruse.

And I totally get you for the not enough time for exercise as a chef - you are on your feet all the time, running around with your head chopped off... some people dont realize you could easily lose weight with the heart pounding, sweating like a pig position as running around in the kitchen for a living!!!! I do miss the craze of the kitchen though.. so I have to resort to the gym now that I have assumed my other position. Worked culinary and healthcare for a combined 17 years... love both industries, but there is just not enough steady work in New Hampshire, nor does it pay well at all to run a kitchen. I make more in my AR position than I do as a chef (sucks!)... Id much rather be back in the kitchen because it is truly, great exercise! Especially cleaning whole meats!!! The breakdown would give me some pretty sexy biceps! LOL!!!!

    Hello!!!

I am a low carber I was once at the 20 net carbs a day but now that I am incorparated fruits and etc I am around 70 a day. I would have to say that I contribute my sucess to low carbing. I must agree with you about the breads. Oh how I hated how they made me gasy and bloated. Once I cut that all out I feel alot better. I stay away from processed sugar and eat whole foods and alot of veggies. Feel free to add me!!!

I would love some more low-carb buddies  If anyone else on the thread wants to add me as well, have at it!

I have done atkins several times and find it's the only thing that works.

Hi Please feel free to add me I started induction yesterday at the 20g mark too and will stay around that level for the next few months. Really loving it too! Feel free to add me too especially if you have an open diary. I like to have a look at diaries to get ideas, you can look at mine too, but won't comment on it unless you want me to :)

Anyone else can feel free to add me too .
