    Paleo Primal

tend to aim for around 50% fat 30 % protien and the rest carbs. Around 100g of carbs a day if you are maintaining.

I eat between 60-70% fat, 20-25% protein (depending on my fitness level at different times) and 10-15% carbs (but never over 100 grams a day while I try to shed some more weight. I lose weight the easiest when I eat the most fat. I ate 245 grams of fat today putting me at nearly 80% fat but whatevs, it works for me.

I am still building up to 70% fat, but usually am above 60%, under 10% carb, and the rest - protein.
There is some crazy formula that says that your net carbs should be half your "I look like a super-model" weight in kilos, your proteins g - 1 to 2 of your "I look like a super-model" weight in kilos, depending on how you train, and the rest should be fat.... All and all, I prefer my protein at about my LBM in lbs, and I am trying to keep my carbs to my "I look like a super-model" weight in kilos. Heh. My calories I try to keep at the Mifflin's BMR estimate or slightly higher when I try to lose weight, and whatever it takes to maintain when I maintain.

I went in and played around with my macros to get to a point where it reflected how I ate everyday...

I set it so my Carbs reflected under 90 and my Protien was above 100 and the rest went to fat - I went in and did % so my carbs are set to something like 87 and Protien to 118 - but my goal when I am tracking is carbs to 90 and Protien 100 or above...

I also have it set to a lower calorie intake as during the day when I cook I don't account for things like coconut oil for sauteing.

I took the summer off from tracking and it shows as I have gained 5 lbs...I am fine with it - I realize for me no matter which way I eat I have to keep Carbs down - simply have to ...and this summer I ate a lot of fruit since it was readily available and cheap - so while overall I wasn't ingesting gobs of calories, nor tons of "non-primal" foods I did have an overall increase in carbs and lower protien on a daily basis and I think for me that really impedes my metabolism
