cooking question

Yesterday I baked some chicken & rolled it in prepared bread crumbs which added way to many calories! So I was thinking of bran flakes mixed with fiber one. Has anyone else tried anything else like this? Prepared bread crumbs were 140 calories per 1/4 cup!

When I want a little crunch to my baked chicken, I use a little bit of egg whites and EVOO. Then roll in corn meal. Much less calories, fat, and sodium. A little pepper and garlic for taste. That's just one way to pluck the chicken. Same for tilapia.

But not everyone likes corn meal. Tastes like a chicken fried chicken. :)

Here's the corn meal nutrition info:

You can also look for the Panko crumbs. They're about half the calories as well.
They seem to be all the rage lately, but I can't say I've tried any myself yet.
