Arch Pain Question, and Surface question?

I am working still on Week 1. I was almost done, and I have developed arch pain in my left foot. So instead of finishing week 2, I continue to get behind.
I bought a pair of runners when I started from a Running store. She watched my gait, etc. So I can't believe it would be the shoes. I even went and bought Arch supports today, but thought that is stupid for the price I paid for these shoes and I shouldn't have to wear arch supports for one foot, should I?
Tonight I was talking to my brother and he asked me if I always went the same route, and on sidewalks. Of Course I do.
He thought that that could be part of my issue, running on the same route, always turning into the same foot. It kind of makes sense.
What kind of surfaces does everyone run on, and do you always go the same route.? Any suggestions for the Arch pain

I may change up my route very slightly each week, but each run during the week is usually the same one. How are you landing on your feet when you run? On your toes? On your heels? You should be aiming for the ball of your feet, or at least that's what I've read and have made it to week 9 relatively pain-free.
If I were you and the pain continues, I'd make an appointment with a foot doctor and check your arches out. I'm sorry you have to deal with this! I hope it resolves quickly for you.0 -
I am landing on the ball of my foot. It is the weirdest thing and annoying
