Calorie burn day after lifting...

Anyone have a fitbit and can monitor the calories that they burn? If so does anyone else notice that on the day AFTER you lift your calorie burn is crazy? So strange as on the DVD she talks about wanting to eat more on the days she lifts....for me it is the day after.

I've never actually paid attention to that...not sure how I'd monitor it exactly as my 'activity' from day to day is so varied though. But good to know that it does actually happen!0

YES!!! In fact, I asked this same question awhile back! I thought it was strange that on my lifting days, my calorie burn was much lower than on those days but the next day it would be higher and I would be starving!!!
I have a BMF so I'm obsessed with my numbers. I also notice on days I do cardio, my calorie burn is much higher the rest of the day....not just when I'm doing the cardio.0 -
I thought the same thing when I heard that in the dvd as well...I usually have a much bigger appetite the day AFTER I lift not the day of. I do notice that when I am lifting on a regular basis that my calorie burn on my off days is quite a bit more during the weeks I lift. When I take a break for a couple of weeks from my lifting - My calories burned for every day is lower than when I lift only 2 days/wk even. It makes me not want to take breaks from lifting very often. lol
That is my main reason for getting my Fitbit was to find out my TDEE each day and compare my numbers when I am on a break and when I am working out, etc. I love it!!0 -
I wonder why....I find that I even burn more calories on the day AFTER I lift if I just do an ab exercise or a stretch then I do even after I do a TF....that's saying something...0

Interesting. Yesterday I was absolutely starving and, sure enough, I'd done Burn Circuit 1 the day before.0

I am also hungrier the day after. But how could a fitbit monitor this? It is basically a pedometer. I enter my workouts manually.0

No, the fitbit monitors your calories burned, steps walked, flights of stairs climbed and miles walked.....
and if you post your bedtime and wake time it will tell you how well you slept that night...ie, the minutes it took you to go to sleep, how many times you woke up and how efficient your sleep is....0 -
I did CLX Burn Circuit 2 yesterday and today I'm famished. You are right. I'm noticing a pattern.0

Funny, I noticed it the day after Burn Circuit 1, but not #2 this week. Did #3 today, will see what happens tomorrow. What is BMF?0

I don't have one but the day after a heavy lift I am always starving. It's like I can't get enough at all0
