2/7 or 2/0 Cruise Phase?

Just wondering if anyone tried this method with success?

I was reading in the book that options for the cruise phase could be Monday Thurs pure protein with the rest of the days PP+Veggies OR for the 2/0 option you can eat whatever you want without going crazy except for the Mon/Thursday pure protein.

I do not have TOO much weight to lose I'm 5'2 , age 24, just off a 3 day attack with a current weight 119.6. Now, my True weight from the website said 114, but I'd really like to be around 105 as I've weighed that before and that's where i feel comfortable. I'd like to try one of these two options, but am a little skeptical or nervous that they won't work and I'll have to start all over again.

In the past I tried the 1/1 method which eventually didn't last. I travel a lot and have catered food on set ALL the time so most days I wouldn't be able to eat anything, then I would end up over eating once I was finally home.

Anyway, any suggestions or advice or success stories using these methods would be greatly appreciated!

Honestly, I was on 7pv /1 pp for most of cruise. I had a true weight of 139 per the on line Dukan Counseling but I weigh 132 now.

I still mostly eat PV days with an extra side of 1/2 an avocado or apple. It just works for me.

Hi! Thanks so much for commenting, I was beginning to think no one had done this!

Congratulations on being below your "true" weight! I never trust how they calculate those things, but great to know that it can be done with a less strict option, hopefully I will be successful as well! x

Oh, you are successful as you are planning for success! It might take a bit longer or go a bit faster, but you will get there!

I do 2 and 5. Two days pure protein, 5 days protein and veg. I normally do my 2 PP days on Monday and Tuesday, with the rest of the week and weekend to have protein and veg. I don't lose a lot on my 5 days PV, but I can always count on a 1 pound loss after 2 days PP.

    Luzmidd,

I had the same experience that PV slows down the weight loss, but I think that is a good thing. I have lost 42 pounds at age 53 and have no saggy skin, etc.

Also, I would have a week or two of no loss, then 2-3 pounds would fall off.... but it cam off and is staying off!

I think that's what I keep having to tell myself, that it will take time! And usually the longer it takes to lose weight the longer it will stay off right?

It's a hard concept for me to take in as I like fast results, but I'm working on it!

I would agree with you in that this is a lifestyle not necessarily a quick fix. See your weight loss as a journey, and if you are not as far as you hope at some point or other, take courage that you are heading in the right direction...and that is what matters. Well done so far!
