Hi, my name is Shawna and I am new to this. I am a new mother (he's 2 months now) and i am trying now to lose these last 15-20 pounds. I don't yet fit back into my pre pregnancy clothes, so i am still in my mat clothes. It is the lower belly that is still flaby, any ideas or suggestions on how to go about losing it, while taking care of my son all day?

Has your doctor given you the OK to exercise? If so, you might want to start out with planks, crunches, biking (laying on back alternating touching elbow to knees). Are you breastfeeding? That burns calories.

Hi Shawna! If your tummy just needs a bit of toning, then eating very clean and incorporating strength exercises into your routine would be perfect, but if you have some fat to lose, walking does WONDERS!! If you are more up for a challenge, then running may be more fun, but walking always seems to do the trick.

The two previous responses have great suggestions. I would just add that with a 2 month old, anything you can do is a win! Certainly tracking your eating would be a great start but adding walks would be great with the extra bonus of pushing a stroller up a hill (if you ahve hills). Even just lying on the ground and lifting the baby up and down would be exercise and fun for both of you. It will naturally get heavier too!
