FEEL LIKE POO!

I know it'll get better but ugh! I'm exhausted and I'm struggling in my work outs. When I did my paleo challenge in May, it took about a week and a half to get better. I have the Tough Mudder next weekend so I hope I feel better by then. I need to be at the top of my game!!
Anyone else? oh and I want a dr. pepper so bad.

i feel very drained and no energy to work out since I started this.. all but I really want to lay on the couch and do nothing..too bad I have to work! And I really want a pumpkin spice coffee from DD. I'm not hungry at all but am craving this coffee..Think I might experiment this weekend with bulletproof coffee and pumkin pie spice.0

I've been exhausted lately as well. We've been going to the gym this week and I'm trying to give it my best... I'm just so exhausted when I get home. I went to bed before 9pm the other night and around 9:30 last night.
I'm not as hungry throughout the day. I had break eariler and only ate some cashews with water (my bulletproof coffee and 2 eggs have held me over pretty well).
Even at night I'm not all that hungry either. Its kinda nice
I'm starting to crave sweets though. I'm not even a big sweets person... but doughnuts, paleo pumpkin muffins, and the paleo chocolate chip cooks are sounding amazing... I'm not fixing the paleo ones because we aren't supposed to replace desserts... but I really want to!0 -
Re you ladies drinking bone broth or other salty liquids? Magnesium citrate and potassium citrate can helps as well with feeling pooped.
Sweet cravings will go away if you keep bypassing sweets; the less sweet your diet is, the quicker they go. Eliminating fruit and sweet tubers really help. It is hell on earth for a few days, then it goes from not having to not wanting. I find that macadamia nuts and coconut oil and creamed coconut are very good sweet craving busters.0 -
My coach said to have bone broth too. I forgot until I read your post. i'll be doing that tonight.0

CRAP. Now I really want Dunkins.
....that aside, I am actually doing fine (not to brag)! Perhaps you could try eating MORE, just of the good stuff? Would that help?? Perhaps some starchy carbs like a sweet potato? Maybe that will suffice as a replacement for the time being.
edit to add- salt really helps me kill any cravings, btw... maybe not a super healthy idea but it's better than binging. Just pop some salt on top of whatever I'm eating and it's 238974923 times more satisfying.0 -
Agree with the idea of eating more, especially things like protein. I know we're not supposed to be catering to our whims, but I find it really satisfying to eat a chunk of salty meat when I'm bummed about not being able to eat something.0

If you use sea salt it is not unhealthy. When you starting with paleo/primal, your electrolyte balance goes off, so you need extra salt. Just use the coarse, cosher one, and you will feel better. Also, you might want to try dashi or roasted seaweed.0

I agree with the sweet tubers/root vegetables comment. This was the biggest thing that got me through, plus an apple or a banana with some almond butter. But even with those, I was exhausted and cranky that first two weeks. Another really good one to help with sweet cravings is coconut butter. OMG...to die for!0 -
Hi! Don't mean to be MIA but I have been pooped out too and barely able to get any work done for lack of focus which is really not a good thing. I'm hanging in there but I'm not having the best week - not to mention that I've been having more insomnia then usual. I'm really hoping this passes, I definitely have to say I'm not in a state of Whole 30 bliss over here. Not that I'm happy that anyone else is having it rough but it does give me some perspective to see that I'm not alone. Oy vey... this kinda sucks!! Hope things improve soon as I can't afford not to get my work done... whine B*tch moan!!! LOL...0
