Well I kinda breezed through W1 and thought that I would be ok until about W4.... Boy was I wrong, Harder that I thought trying to get back into the running thing. Lots of years and pounds since the last time I really tried to get into running and are my knees screaming at me!!! I am determined that I can and will finish this, and there is a 5k on thanksgiving morning that I have my eye on and may even enter. I am just waiting to make sure that the old knees can take the abuse!!!

Hi, I'm on week 7 of c25k, and now only have a little trouble with my knees. There was a point when I thought I was just too heavy to run and my knees and shins couldn't cope, but these stretches I found helped a lot. I don't know if they would work for you, but take a look. Personally I also changed my running style to shorter stride so I was not getting so much impact from heel striking. It meant I did not get exhausted so quickly by the strains and pains.
