DAILY Check-In!

Hope this finds everyone feeling good about their progress and the direction you are headed!!! I wanted to start a "Daily Check-In" topic to just pop in and say hello and discuss anything on your mind on any given day. Ideally, all group members will post here most days, so that we can keep the conversation flowing! Only by posting and sharing a bit of ourselves can our group stay active and be a thriving source of encouragement in our journey to good overall health. So PLEASE DON'T BE SHY!!! We care about what you have on your mind and what you are going through! Hope to hear from EVERYONE soon!!! :bigsmile:

    I'm doing okay today... had a great weekend away with my family. I had a difficult time finding foods I could eat that were healthy (I am still limited to what I can eat since my oral surgery).. needless to say, I had way too many carbs. I did, however, manage to get in some good exercise - Especially Saturday (18K+ steps, nearly 8 miles, burned 2403 calories) did a short workout in the morning before heading to the golf course with my husband, daughter and nephew. Hope all is well!!

    i'm good today, except back to work Monday. I had a very busy weekend with two meetings, doctor's physical, church. I still got in two exercise times :smile: My daughter has seen how hard I'm working on my goal of a healthy life, and has decided to join in.
    She is 22, working and going to college. Eat's too late and too much fast food. We talked about eating and not starving. What to snack on. And got her to get on MFP to help keep track. Very good weekend. :smile: :smile:

    Doing pretty well today! Tired all the time..but raising 3 kids can do that to you! :-) Joined Curves (again) today! I did the 30 min workout and really felt good after that. Had a decent weekend...still trying to make wise choices. Passed up Apple Pie last night...but feel good about that. not deprived. I am going thru a phase of not being able to stay asleep. I fall asleep but then wake up every hour and sometimes can not get back to sleep. Any suggestions would be appreciated! :wink: Hope everyone else had a good day!

    Tess, hopefully that good exercise will offset too many carbs. Glad you had a fun time with family!
    kriskerans, that is awesome that your daughter wants to join you on this journey! And good for you for getting exercise in!
    Ldevinemk, great that you joined Curves and did the 30 minute workout today!!!

    I had a fun, relaxing weekend, but indulged in some unhealthy snacking. :noway: Struggled to get back on track today. Had the Monday blahs! :ohwell: Thank God tomorrow is a new day!!! I want to make healthier choices. Off to ride the stationary bike! I have been exercising way too late lately, but I gotta get it in whenever the mood strikes!!! :wink:

    iamslimandfit: Monday blahs are hard...but you can get back on track with eating. Like you said..thank God for a new day. It's great that we can give ourselves "do overs". You can do this and you are so encouraging to all of us. Thank you for that! At least you are riding the bike, even if late at night! Better than eating late at night :happy:

    Okay, so I have to come clean! LOL! I had every intention of riding the bike last night when I logged off here, but I ended up going to bed. At least I got a good night's sleep! :yawn:

    I ate well today, but did not exercise. I will do the stationary bike FOR SURE Wednesday!!!

    I DID ride the bike early Wednesday evening!!! Thanks for holding me accountable. :wink: Wahoo........ it helped, because I lost 2 pounds for the week (at this morning's weigh-in!!!) :happy:

    Doing good for a Monday, got a full 40 hrs plus 2hrs overtime last week, very good.... we've been cut back to 32hrs for 3 yrs now,
    its rare to get more, so it made a great week, and family weekend, still got in gym on Sunday afternoon... Here goes another week:smile:

    I'm still with you. Keep it up, you'll pull through. Not every day is going to be perfect or easy.

    I'm still with you!! Hang in there...remember this is a lifestyle. As long as you do not give up completely on yourself and you recommit each time....you will get to your goal. You are aware when you make wrong choices and you are aware when you make great choices. in the end..you are retraining your brain and you adjust the next day or the day after. fall off the wagon a couple of days...back on it for 5 days....don't beat yourself up over the small stuff. As long as you keep getting back up.....you will succeed!!!!:flowerforyou:

    Todays my Birthday and I'm very proud of my progress... I started this journey again on Aug 1st, 23.5 lbs down by my Birthday is something I could never image in my mind... making good choices today and the rest of my life... :flowerforyou:
