Id like to see success pics too. MFP originally had my cals at 12something but I had my weekly weight loss goal at 2 lbs per week. I switched it to 1 1/2 lbs a week and it upped my cals to 1580. I've only been eating like this for about 3 days so Im not sure about how well it is working so far. I will say I havent gained weight like I thought I would. Ill know for sure Monday morning.0

you got that backwards. lol you dont want to dip below your BMR. i made that mistake and while i lost a ton of weight, i also lost a ton of hair! it just now starting to level off now that i've been eating at or above BMR for 2 months.0 -
oh ok. Thanks! I think there is a BMR tool on MFP I will see what that says and start from there!! Thanks, the dvds hopefully will be here by Friday so I can start!!0

Knobles, I started off doing the meal plan but it just wasn't sustainable for my lifestyle and family demands. Honestly I just don't eat or buy a lot of the ingredients involved. I was using my BMR calories (1450) as my goal, but constantly felt like I was hungry, especially after workouts.I have been plateauing weight-wise all of Phase 2.
Now I've started Phase 3, I've been reading up on Eat More to Weigh Less, whose main idea is if you have a smaller calorie eaten to burned deficit, it will be a more sustainable weight lostt. This program uses the BMR and TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) numbers to set a more realistic (for me, long term) calorie goal. My calorie goal is now 20% less than my TDEE (aka my cut rate) at 1685. I won't "eat" my exercise calories, since it's a given I'll do it and that's built in to my cut rate.0 -
Search for the "Graduates" thread on here... There are several of us that posted there before it dropped off...0
