Tonight's town hall-style debate centers on domestic and foreign policy.
Last week's Veep debate thread was fun. Let's gather again. Start time 9pm Eastern.

I agree.0 -
Candy comes back after the debate is over and says she was wrong about the transcript. I think it was a calculated move to save Obama's bacon at a key moment in the debate. The next debate is on foreign policy. Romney will kill him on that.
The GOP is nuts to agree to having far left moderators for the debates. Would the DNC ever agree to having Sean Hannity moderate a presidential debate? I don't think so.
I heard only Romney talk about how they would fix the mess we are in. Obummer only tried to attack Romney and had no ideas about how to turn things around. He made no compelling case for reelection.0 -
Comparing Obama's tone from 4 years ago to today is a testament to how desperate he is. In 2008, he talked about uniting the country and fixing what had gone wrong with the economic collapse, and while I didn't buy it then, most voters did because they wanted desperately to believe that someone had an answer.
After 4 years of failure, his only two strategies on the economy are class warfare and a "blame Bush" style denial about his own inadequacies. That's why he's losing a lot the people who supported him 4 years ago. People respond to theme of "this is how I'm going to fix the problem" because that's what real leaders do. They CRAVE the opportunity to solve problems. They don't turn their own constituents against each other to distract everyone from what is really going on, and they certainly don't avoid taking responsibility by saying "well I can't fix this because the last guy in charge really sucked."
Watching Obama in these debates, I almost wonder if he really still WANTS to be president. I don't think he does, not really. I think he loves the power and the prestige and the 5-star vacations at taxpayer expense, but I don't think he loves the work. And the only reason he's trying at all is because he wants to go out on his own terms, not as the guy who was forced out because most people didn't want him back.0 -
PS Candy Crowley was terrible and should be ashamed of herself. From not allowing Romney the same chance at rebuttals that she gave Obama to cutting off Romney while he was in the middle of pimp-slapping Obama to jumping in and defending Obama when Romney said something she didn't like... it was an all-around horrible performance by her. Don't even get me started on her lying to protect Obama and then coming back later to say "oh, my bad." You can't unring the bell.0

I couldn't have said it better... She really was terrible!0 -
LOL. I posted last night on my facebook... there's always 2 ways I can tell Obama is lying. He opens his mouth... and he starts stuttering.0 -

My thoughts EXACTLY. I was so mad at Obama acting like a spoiled brat... and Candy kept cutting Romney off. As usual, Obama got in more talk time.0 -
Are we still blaming Bush??? Sheesh!
That seems to be everyone's favorite quote... "It's Bush's fault."0 -

Obama never answered a question given to him. He only blamed Romney and Bush. I wished people would finally see through all the lies.0 -
