Hunger Question

Good Morning,
Today is day 3 for living the Paleo lifestyle. I am not finding it as challenging as I originally anticipated, but it does take thought. My question: I find myself starving in the morning - something I'm not used to - did anyone else experience this when they first began. It isn't as if I went from going crazy to Paleo -I was always watching, measuring, etc - but now I am eating differently.
Thank you,

I'm always STARVING when I wake up If you're feeling hungry on Paleo just add in some more fat to your diet.0

When I first started, I was hungry in the mornings and hungry about an hour after eating anything. I think it took about a week or so before that leveled off - if I remember correctly, after a couple of days of 'carb flu' it went away.0

Thank you. I'll wait the week - if it doesn't subside, I'll try to add more fat.
Thank you again.0 -
Give yourself more than a week. At this point, just 3 days in, you're probably still running off of carbs rather than fat stores. Your body needs time to adjust.
I'm usually hungry in the morning, but it's a different kind of hunger now than it used to be. I do try to eat breakfast, but if I miss it I find I'm able to go pretty easily through until 1p. But that didn't happen overnight... maybe a month in.0 -
Eggs in the morning are totally paleo and very filling. I like to add some salsa and then have some fruit on the side.0

I have the same problem but during the say and after dinner!!! Am I not eating enough of something>?0

I think it's normal and I definitely think you should give it more than 3 days. It was probably a month before I really got into a rhythm. As was suggested to PPs, if you're hungry, eat more fat.0

I am hungry when I wake up, but not starving crazy mad ravenous as I was on the high carb/low fat. In fact it used to wake me up at 2 am and keep me awake till 3 am. Since I get up at about 4 am, that was one of the reasons I started looking into 'there gotta be a better way'. Some days I can forget about the hunger & it goes away, some days I have to satisfy it.
If you feel uncomfortable with waking very hungry, try eating a high fat/high protein snack (a can of sardines or cheese if cheese is not your domino food) right before bed and see if it helps. having breakfast of only protein and fat really makes it easier to get to lunch without the graze craze at 10 am...0 -
Drink lots of water. Sometimes we think we're hungry, when we're really not. I agree with the other posters as well, give it some time.0

3 days your body is shaking all the crap out...
I would look at eating something with a good fat content in the morning...maybe some eggs with mashed avacado or a nice handfull of almonds or pecans - the fat will keep you satiated for a longer period of time.
I am one of those who isn't hungry 1st thing in the morning - so I drink about 24 ounces of water before even eating - the water fills me up and gets me moving0
