Psalm 127:2 (ESV)
It is in vain that you rise up early
and go late to rest,
eating the bread of anxious toil;
for he gives to his beloved sleep.
Sleep and its association on weight was in the news again this week. I struggle with getting enough sleep - as writing this at 12:21am will attest! My plans today definitely reflect the above Psalm verse - I still have one work assignment to do (because it wont get done early tomorrow if not done tonight) , then I plan to get up early to do homework, then grocery shop before work starts again... . I bet I am not the only one who has to manage such a schedule.
I probably need to keep a time journal of how I spend my time. I know if I did that I would see fair amount of wasted time during the day. I t can be hard to challenge myself to keep going mentally when i want to take a break and 'play'.
Have you conquered the sleep cycle challenge? God wants us to have good rest and even modeled this for us on many occasions.
These are a couple of informative articles. Happy and blissful sleeping to all of us!

Yes, sleep is so important! Because I work from home, my schedule is flexible but it's always a struggle keeping up with the amount of work and balancing it with everything else. Some of my best work time comes in the evenings when all is quiet in my home and I can work without interruptions. I'm usually up til 12 or 1 in the morning but we've worked out a system where my husband takes our daughter to school and I can get 7-8 hours sleep each night! God is good!
How's the Fitbit working out? Have you tried tracking sleep with it? Also, I'm seeing a lot of comments under "technical support" where people are having trouble synching their exercise with MFP. Still considering getting one as I think it would motivate me in the area of exercise!0 -
Elayne, it turns out their are discontinuing the Fit bit Ultra at the end of October - hence the sale price I paid! It requires the base in order to sync, a lesson I learned on this trip - I did over 10000 steps yesterday but it wont get recorded as I did not pack the base (I should have thought of that, that it needs some sort of transponder to sync with my laptop.) I plan to return it for the Fitbit One, which is the new device. In general though, I do like it and it does motivate me.0
