Feeling discouraged... but loving eating the food!

I've been doing this for about a week now... trying to get everything under control. I'm learning along the process. At first I was just counting calories but not worrying about my macros but today I ate so much and had a lot less sodium intake than I normally do. Vegetables are AWESOME. haha. Anyway.
My macros are 35,35, 30. I'm 5'3, have PCOS and hypothyroidism, 223.4 pounds... my scale has had me go up three pounds since I've started this, though. @_@ scary thought. But I've heard that is normal. I've been trying to up my activity level. I work at a fast food restaurant but only work on the weekends. I work 6-8 hours a shift and have my activity set to lightly active.
This week I've made it a goal to work out 3 nights a week for at LEAST 30 minutes and so far I've done 35 minutes of Tae Bo last night and 15 tonight (I was tired and couldn't do much. not used to it) So that makes a total of 50 minutes. My goal is 90. I am going to slowly up this goal until I can be considered for the moderately active level.
I'm a poor college student so working out at a gym is probably a no go. I have an elliptical at my house (I don't stay there during the week due to school. I stay with my uncle) and my boyfriend's mom let me borrow her tae bo tapes (which I love! and she never uses them...) they're vhs, so it's old school. haha.
The only thing that is discouraging is the gaining of the weight. I've been eating about an average of 1500 calories a day and that hasn't always been the most nutritional food. I'm starting to eat healthier with nutritional food and a well balanced diet.
I have a lot of weight around my midsection. I've been mistaken for being pregnant so that is one of my motivational keys... haha. It sucks. But oh well. I'm doing something about it, right?!
This is me so far:
(This is me from eating a low calorie diet and not at or above my BMR. My BMR is 1686? I can't remember for sure off the top of my head.)

A week is not nearly long enough.... If you say the same after being consistent for two months there could be a problem. Be consistent, plan your meals and do some type of exercise everyday and you will see results.0

This lifestyle is not a quick fix. It is not a diet. Quick weightloss programs are what has messed up our bodies. A week is not enough time for you body to adjust and trust you. Make sure your macros are set right and make good choices. There are amazing stories of progress in this group. People that have surrendered the old way of thinking. Give it more time. Please read the post of people that wanted to quit and got discouraged. They make you want to put in another video and power through it.0
