Ok so I kind of skipped weeks 8 and 9 since my 5K was this Saturday but I'm not going back to do them since I RAN IT ALL!!!!

Ok so my actual 5K was cancelled because of snow so I decided to do my own on Sunday, mapped out a run that was 3.4miles long (just incase I miscalculated a little) and I ran the whole way - even up a MASSIVE hill!! Didnt stop once and didnt even want to stop once!! I ran it in 43mins which I'm incredibly proud of. I wanted to do my 5K in under 40mins which I think I could do since this was slightly further!

I'm so proud of myself and I'm so grateful to all your amazing people in the group!! There are so many times I came close to quitting but YOU kept me going!! You're all awesome so THANK YOU!!

Sooooo what's next? I guess I should look up a 5K to 10K program - any suggestions? xxx

    Fantastic job!!!!! Congratulations!!!! :)
  • Amazing work! Well done.
I ran 3.1 miles (or 5k) yesterday (my first run since completing c25K) and i did it in 36.5 minutes. Im well chuffed.
So whats next for you? I was told by someone else on here to buy the Bridge 2 10K, i am definately going to do that but want to try and get my 5k down to 30 minutes first.
Be interesting to see what other people think...

Well done, sooooo proud of you! x

    Thanks -both of you!!

I'm thinking bridge to 10k looks good and worth a try but yeah I'd love to get my 5k time down to 30mins. I reckon that comes with endurance though - by training to go longer you get much much quicker at the shorter runs :-)

I'm definitely interested to hear what everyone else thinks is good to do next! I'll be doing my normal 5K route tomorrow to see what time I manage it in - I'm soooo hope it's under 40mins!! xx

Great Job!!! If you had to do that in the snow even better!!
  • Amazing job, congratulations!

After finishing up I moved on to the Zen Labs 10K app. It's more of a Couch to 10K app, but I just started at the week after the final 5K run. So far so good. There's a group here for Bridge to 10K but it's not very active. :(

Awesome! Congrats! My next 5k is on Veterans Day at old Ft. McClellan base, to support wounded soldiers and their families. Great cause and way to keep setting goals.
  • AWESOME job!!! Congratulations on your super win!!! :):)
