Hey all,
So this month I had a brown period.. no red blood at all, which I know means old blood..but not sure why I had this.
I was thinking perhaps I did not ovulate and im just shedding the built up lining. Ive read this can happen with PCOS.. has anyone experienced the same or got any info on it?
Thanks so much xx

was it light or heavy? I had light spotting a few months ago and it was brown. My actual period is much redder. But if you brown period was heavy, I don't know about that.0

it was pretty light.. more than 'spotting' but not like a full blown period..0

Now that I think about it, I thought mine was heavy for spotting too. But not enough to be a period. My OB and I had this whole discussion about what it really was - random spotting or a very light period.
I remember she said she thought it would be good if it was a period because it would have put me right at a regular cycle and I said it wouldn't be good because I was doing BBT at the time and it never went up. But when I had a real period after that, it didn't go up either. So maybe that was a period. Now you got me thinking...0 -
My girlfriend and I call this sludge. It's happened to me multiple times and often at the end or beginning of a regular cycle too. I'd say just watch it and speak with your OB/GYN if it happens again. Try to keep track of your periods, any pain you have, and any other concerns over the month in regards to your moods/bleeding/pain so that when you speak with doc you can give her a good picture of what you've been dealing with. I had to use lots of hormones to get "regular" and then no hormones at all to stay regular and get pregnant. Now back on hormones and it's been a wild ride. Hope this helps.0
