CHAMPVA.............anyone??????

I have CHAMPVA insurance and am trying to get vsg however it is currently not a covered procedure. I am going to appeal this as they still consider stomach stapling as an option. In any case I was wondering if anyone has ChampVA and if they paid for your VSG?

    I had Humana and recently Anthem BCBS - any bariatric procedure is a line item exclusion on my policy :(
    It was even excluded on my short term disability!
    I had to pay out of pocket for my surgery - I had Dr. Alvarez in Mexico. the cost was really reasonable (less then 1/2 the cost in the states) and the quality of care I recived was top class!
