Does anyone else who is trying to get in 8 cups of water run into the problem of having to pee *all* the time? Just wondered if I'm the only one.

At first yes. Is much better now. Maybe its just me though. I used to drink maybe 1 cup per day. Now i can do 10 on a good day. Carry the water bottle with you and keep refilling. Worked for me anyway!

I am refilling my awesome Tervis waterbottle. It's helping me get exercise! The bathroom is about 50-75 yards away from my desk.

Whenever I start back with drinking 8 glasses a day I do suffer the initial 'flush' of toxins and salts and so have to pee all the time. After a week or so I find it settles down though. Still nowhere near as bad for me as it was during those last few months carrying my girls though..........
  • You're not the only one. You get used to it though and the toilet breaks become less frequent!
  • Yes, I do too. In fact I asked my boss at work if I could have my cubicle moved into the restroom. She said she'd give me a catheter instead....true story.

LOL!!! I read in the paper there a now portable female devices that we can use to urinate in ... man, I forgot what it was called. I'll find it though and post it. It's apparently around $20 and we can use it so we don't get exposed to enemy fire while on convoys and stuff.

I went to a seminar recently on how to take care of your brain and he suggested sipping room temperature water to avoid more bathroom breaks. I haven't gotten the chance to look into why sipping warm water wouldn't make you pee as much but I'm going to now that I've started work again!

That's interesting linzisparkles. I can't stand drinking cold water. Unless it's ridiculously hot outside and even then I'd rather have cool not cold water. My husband likes it ice cold and I can't stand it.

Ok so I hit the wrong button, oh well.... anyways as for room temp water - it deffo makes a difference. I have a 600ml bottle on my desk all the time at school. I make the students refill it if they ask to go for a drink........ works wonders on the kids

Here are two articles that pretty much say the same thing and sum up why it may be better to drink luke warm water instead. But that said, seems like there are just as many articles saying cold is better!
