No Beef?

I am eliminating beef in my diet....I can't digest beef like I used to after 40
Suggested by a health care professional.
Does anyone else NOT eat beef? I was told that pork really isn't white meat either! Thoughts?
I am missing it already but I FEEL better and intestinal issues have improved. I just ordered some chia seed for extra fiber and am hoping it won't make my gut issues slower. I was taking flax oil tabs and I had the worst problems with heartburn....ugh
thanks for your feedback

My husband has a hard time digesting beef and pork and fat and crucifers, and pretty much everything. We eat lots of chicken (he does, I move it around on my plate, since I think it's gross) and fish and he gets fats in liquid form (smoothies, etc) because they're easier to digest. Stew beef (when cooked to a fall apart state in a slow cooker) and ground beef are also easier to digest than steak, and he's done okay with bison too.
Since I hate all things meat at various points, I focus on fish. It grosses me out less and I'm more likely to eat it.
Hope that helps!0 -
I don't eat beef either. I can eat bison, and pork. One thing I haven't tried yet is organic grass fed beef. I've been afraid as I don't want to risk the side effects. But I may some time as I miss beef.
So maybe try bison? Also, lamb and venison are excellent.0 -
I don't eat a whole lot of beef -
I stick to chicken and turkey - for things like chili I use ground turkey. I also prefer turkey or chicken sausage over pork sausage.
Beef just doesn't sit well with me overall for some reason - although tonight I am going to a Japanese steakhouse and getting steak....0
